The Ray H. Honaker was born on March 2, 1926. He was a radio and television broadcaster
before becoming a local preacher in the Florida Conference. He served the following
appointments: Waukeenah Circuit, 1979-83; Bethel, Tallahassee, 1983-84; and Matecumbe,
1984-92. He retired in 1992.
He died at age eighty-three on August 30, 2009, in Lake Placid, Florida. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine and his son, David. His wife, Dorothy, died on March 10, 2010. He is survived by his children, His wife, Dorothy, died on March 10, 2010. Robin, Mark, Warren, and Amy.
Memorial services were held on September 9, 2009, at Memorial United Methodist Church in Lake Placid, Florida.

Dorothy Honaker of Lake Placid, Florida, was born on January 9, 1926. She died on March 16, 2010. A memorial service
was held at Southern Lifestyle Assisted Living in Lake Placid where she lived. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray,
on August 30, 2009, and by her son, David, and her daughter, Christine. She is survived by her children, Robin, Mark Warren,
and Amy.
